Here at Addison tyre centre we believe that charity starts at home. That is why we play a big part in the fundraising for local and national charities. We have raised thousands of pounds over the last few years for the Anthony Nolan Trust www.anthonynolan.org.uk and leukaemia care. www.leukaemiacare.org.uk THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO ATTENDED THE EVENT ON SEPTEMBER 7TH 2008. I CAN CONFIRM WE HAVE RAISED £1073.00 FOR THE LEUKAEMIA CARE CHARITY
The day was a great success with a good turnout
over 130 people had their photos taken in the car. Their were 110 entries on
the F1 simulator, combined with selling merchandise supplied by Bridgestone
and other donations inc the prize draw to hit our target.
IBeacon Radio attended the event with beacon
bear to entertain the kids, The under 16's winner of the fastest lap was
Thomas Foster and the adult winner was Richard Taiwo.
They both received some official F1 Caps and
Tshirts.

tour were Neil Porter from Coseley.
Father's £1,000 trust gift A Black Country father has launched an emotional campaign to raise money for a cancer charity following his son's recovery from leukaemia.
Mr Addison, aged 30, started to raise money for the trust after his son was diagnosed with the disease. Eight-year-old Hurst Hill Primary School pupil Scott was diagnosed as having leukaemia aged four and underwent three years of chemotherapy at the Diana, Princess of Wales Childrens Hospital, in Birmingham. He later recovered fully. Mr Addison said: "A lot of people have gone through what we have gone through. We want to create an awareness for the Anthony Nolan Trust." Previous fundraising events have included a 500ft abseil down the Howard Johnson Hotel, in West Bromwich, and a 1,000ft zip slide at Kingswinford rugby club.
